Josh Nashed’s 3 wins for Chestfield Warriors 1, with 2 from Kell Davies and 1 from Steve Cannon gave the Warriors a 6-3 win against Heron B who secured their 3 points with 2 wins by Roger Pingham and 1 from Peter Chapman. Heron however, went on to take the doubles match, winning 3-1.
A comfortable 7-2 result for Hoath B against Faversham A was earned by 3 wins from David Jeavons, with 2 apiece from Mike Chapman and Simon Hillier. Ethan Braden (1) and Harry Law (1) battled hard to give the Faversham team their 2 points, but Hoath then went on to wrap up the match with a close 3-2 doubles win.
A 7-2 win for visiting Herne Bay A over Hoath C came from 3 wins each by Ron Rowley and Peter Roberts and 1 from Dean Harris. Clive Hollingsbee for Hoath created a bit of history, beating Dean Harris for the first time in 26 years of league competition, with the 2nd Hoath point coming from Chris Hearn. The 3-0 doubles result then went in favour of the losing team.
Heron B were given no quarter by a powerful Iron Room A who inflicted an 8-1 win over the home side. Arthur Martin won the only point for Heron, and with Martin Hewett and Russell Bates unbeatable on the night, Phil Saxby added 2 more points to the Iron Room tally. The match concluded with the Iron Room taking the doubles 3-1.

Division 1

Chestfield Warriors 3 were unable to prevent club mates Chestfield Warriors 3A winning 7-2 and climbing to 3rd place in the league. Linus Videika won his 3 matches for Warriors 3A, complimented by a further 2 wins from Jonny Nevett and Ricky Kay. Denis Cannon won the only 2 games for the losers, who then regained some satisfaction by winning a tight 3-2 doubles match.
2 wins by Steve Bispham and 1 from Michael Lee for Iron Room B was not enough to stop visiting Herne Bay C from winning this match 6-3. Yet again Bob Edwards won his 3 matches for the Bay, together with 2 from Mick Micklethwaite and 1 from Steve Furber. The Bay side then added a 3-0 doubles win to their singles result.
Herne Bay D beat Herne Bay B by a similar scoreline. This 6-3 win came courtesy of 3 wins by Keith Blackmore, 2 from Chris Howard and 1 from Paul Bee. Bay ‘B’ responded with 2 wins by Vince Corbin and 1 from Simon Lee. Bay ‘D’ were unable to prevent the losing ‘B’ team from running away with the doubles 3-0.
A combined team effort by Chestfield Warriors 4 earned them a good 6-3 win, away to Herne Bay E. Paul Davies, Dirk Froebrich and Adam Dyer all had 2 wins for the Warriors and the home team had a persistent Giulio Guariglia to thank for their 3 points. A hard fought doubles match then ensued, resulting in a 3-2 win for the Bay’s.

Division 2

With only 2 players available, Blean A had to concede 3 matches to their guests, Chestfield Warriors 6A. However, the depleted Blean side had Rob Easton and Paul Simmonds, who comfortably won all their games to produce a 6-3 result, together with a 3-0 doubles win.
Chestfield Warriors 5 continued their winning ways with a 6-3 victory over their visitors, Herne Bay F. Paul Whittaker and Frank Findlay gave their side the 6 points, and a point each from Graham Waters, Jim Burns and Graham Sopp went to the Bay, who could do nothing to prevent Warriors winning the doubles 3-0.
Chestfield Warriors 6 found themselves embroiled in a tough battle against a detemined Faversham D. With the lead changing hands 3 times during the course of the singles, it took 39 of the 45 available legs to produce a 5-4 result for the Warriors. John Metcalfe (3) was unbeatable on the night, and supported by a win each from Bob Young and Richard Bothamley, edged the win. Faversham had Kevin Bourner (2) and Mark Thomas (2) to thank for their 4 points, and the intensity of this match continued into the doubles with the Warriors finally pinching a 3-2 victory.
Whitstable Natives B welcomed Choughs B to their home venue, but lost 5-4 to their guests. Despite 3 wins from Tony Causer and 1 from Keith Garrad, the Choughs team always just had the edge. 2 wins each from Russell Swain and Reuben Tozer, and 1 from Joe Chan gave Choughs the win, who added a comfortable 3-0 doubles win to their singles result.

Division 3

Shaun Reid was the saviour for Chestfield Warriors 11 when they travelled to meet Blean B. Although he was unbeaten in this match, it was not enough to prevent a 6-3 defeat by the more experienced Blean side. Alan Dilnot, Laurie Newman and Peter Cole all had 2 wins each to earn the result. The singles loss was somewhat compensated by a close 3-2 doubles victory in favour of the Warriors
3 wins each for Bill Hackney and Caroline Hanson, with a supporting win from Bob Hassam eased Chestfield Warriors 9 to a 7-2 victory over fellow club team Chestfield Warriors 10, who had Bernard Ebeck and Paul Anthony to thank for their 2 points. Warriors 10 put up a spirited fight in the doubles, but eventually yielded 3-1.
A close fought local derby match between Herne Bay G and Herne Bay I resulted in a 5-4 victory for Bay I. With the score at 4-4 in the singles, Al Parkes proved to be just too strong for Paul Messenger, giving his side the 5-4 result. Roger Townsin (2) and Paul Messenger (2) scored the 4 points for Bay G and Al Parkes (2) Simon Chambers (2) and Colin Chaston (1) nipped the result for Bay I. The following doubles was also a 3-1 win for Bay I.
