It was the first round of cup matches last week so there are no league matches to report but a look at the current league positions shows that at this early stage of the season those teams expected to do well are already leading in the respective divisions.

In the Premier the teams who finished in the top two places last year, Iron Room A and Hoath A, are there again and level on points with 21 points each from three matches. In the doubles however the surprise leaders are CW1 who are level on points with Iron Room A, both teams having the maximum 9 points from three matches.

In division one the leaders are Faversham A with 18 points from three matches but second placed Iron Room C have 15 points having only played twice. However neither team features in the doubles league leading positions where Herne Bay C lead their B team by a single point on 7 and 6 points respectively.

The second division leaders are Faversham B on 16 points from three matches but second placed Herne Bay E have played one fewer and are just two points behind with a game in hand. The Bay E team also lead the doubles with 6 points from two games with Choughs C in second place, also on 6 points.

Division three leaders are Whitstable Natives B on 14 points with Faversham C in second spot just one point behind and the Faversham side share top spot with their D team in the doubles league, both teams having 6 points.

In division four the same two teams lead both singles and doubles with CW8 leading the singles on 4 points and Herne Bay J one behind on 3 points. Both teams have three points in the doubles league.
