Just three matches were reported in the Premier Division this week, the closest result being a 6/3 victory for Choughs A over CW1 with Warriors much improved Jake Coombes narrowly losing two of his matches at deuce in the 5th set. In the other games Hoath B had a comfortable 8/1 win over Choughs B and Herne Bay A beat Iron Room B by the same score, the only win for Iron Room being a creditable victory for Darren Richardson over Peter Roberts.
In Division 1 second placed CW2 beat Choughs C by 8/1, third placed Iron Room C beat fourth placed Natives A by 6/3 and leaders Herne Bay C had an emphatic 9/0 victory over their D team.
Division 2 leaders CW5 played bottom team Blean Lions and had a 7/2 win with a timely treble from Jacob Midson and fourth placed Faversham A, who have played three games fewer than the leaders, had an emphatic 9/0 win over Choughs D. Third placed Blue lawn had their home game with Herne Bay F conceded and so gained a 9/0 win and Herne Bay G beat Blean A 5/4 despite another treble from Blean’s Paul Simmonds.
In Division 3 only one game was reported as played which was a 6/3 victory for CW7 over rivals Herne Bay I with Simon Howe winning all three of his games for the Warriors team.
Division 4 also had one reported match, an all junior clash between CW9 and CW10, with the older CW9 players winning all their matches against their younger opponents for a 5/0 victory, but CW10’s Tom Barton and Jack Cannon put up a spirited fight in the doubles losing narrowly in the fifth set.
