Week commencing 12/11/12

Two of the top three teams in the Premier division played this week and had identical 8/1 wins over their opponents. Herne Bay A entertained Hoath C, the sole Hoath point coming from a win by David Jeavons against Andy Cannon and Hoath A beat Choughs A with Ian Cooke gaining the Choughs point in a four set win against Andy Roberts but with Hoath trebles from Ian Mileham and Barry Chapman who used his limp wristed forehand loop to great effect. The only other Premier game played resulted in a 5/4 win for Choughs B over Heron A.

There were three matches played in Division 1 with all three first division Warriors teams in action. Warriors 2 beat Heron B 6/3, the first game being a marathon between Steve Cannon and Peter Chapman with the Warriors player winning deuce in the fifth after what seemed like a five hour game. At least it did to those watching ! Warriors 4 lost 6/3 to Whitstable Natives A while Warriors 3 had an excellent 7/2 win against Herne Bay D with both John Wickings and Connor Russell winning all their games.

In Division 2 there were four matches played. Choughs D beat Blue Lawn with trebles from Ashford youngsters Sam Cooke and Jordan Brooker and Warriors 5 beat two man Blean A thanks to a treble from Jacob Midson. Faversham A had an easy 8/1 win against Herne Bay E who fielded just one player on the night and Herne Bay G overcame Faversham B by 7/2 with Mark Walton winning all his games for the Bay team.

Division 3 saw just two matches played, the Warriors 8 team beating Herne Bay I 6/3 and Warriors 7 winning 7/2 against Faversham C thanks to a Simon Howe treble.
