CANTERBURY & DISTRICT TTA PRESS REPORT 05/04/2012

As the season draws to a close the race for honours and promotion finally reaches its conclusion.
In Division 4,Faversham C and Faversham D are both tied on 62 points, both with one game to play.
Both sides met recently and the result was predictably close, with the C side winning 3-2,despite Lara Rodday winning both her games for the D side.
Both sides could potentially win their last games 5-0,which could lead to the title being decided by games won.
Faversham C need just one point from their last doubles game to lift the doubles trophy.

Dizzy Heights A are the singles league champions of Division 3 despite losing their 100% record.
Their recent game against second place Chestfield Warriors 7 proved a personal success for Jacob Midson, who cruised to a hat trick including the scalp of Andrew Coleman.
This 7-2 win for Warriors assures them of second place in the singles league, while club colleagues,Warriors 5,have bagged the doubles title.
Dizzy Heights A need 3 points from their last doubles game to secure runners up spot.
Blean E and Herne Bay H have finished in the bottom two of Division 3.

The only unbeaten side in he whole of the singles league,Chestfield Warriors 3,have won the Division 2 singles title with two games still to play.
Runners up spot has gone to club colleagues,Warriors 2,but these two sides are still fighting it out for the top spot in the Doubles league.
Warriors 2 are a point ahead and need 5 points from their last two games to be certain of the title, but one of these games is against Warriors 3,so the battle is far from over.
Chestfield Warriors 4 finished at the bottom of Division 2,but who could join them is between Blean Lions and Blean C.
Both have 3 games to play but Lions are 3 points ahead.

Rough Common look on course to take the Division 1 Singles Championship in what has been the most intriguing of all divisions.
With one game to play,Common head the table by one point from Choughs B,who have now finished their fixtures.
In 3rd place are Heron B,who miss out yet again on promotion.
Both Choughs and Heron lost in recent weeks to the Common and this could allow 4th placed Iron Room B to steal runners up slot.
Iron Room need a 6-3 win or better against Herne Bay C to finish in second place.
Bay C are the doubles champions of Division 1,but Iron Room need to beat them in the doubles game to finish runners-up.

Hoath A need 10 points from their last two games to be certain of retaining the Premier Division Singles title.
Rivals Iron Room A need 3 points to be assured of runners up slot, ahead of Herne Bay A.
Iron Room need to win their last doubles game to secure the Doubles title while Hoath A have got runners up spot already and if Iron Room lose their last doubles game Hoath A could be in with a chance of taking the doubles.
Herne Bay B have finished bottom, along with probably Chestfield Warriors 1 above them
