Nine points separate the top 7 sides in Division 1.
At the top Choughs B are unbeaten in 4 games with 23 points while in 7th place sees Iron Room B on 14 points,a side that has had mixed fortunes in their opening 3 fixtures.
Iron Room got off to a good start in their game against Blue Lawn. Keith harris was in fine form,claiming the scalps of Barry Shirley and Ricky Kay in straight sets,while Brian Kennett disposed of Kevin Kay inbetween.
Peter Coles struggled for his side,losing to Ricky Kay and Kevin Kay,but Kennett swept aside Shirley in 4 sets and Harris needed 5 sets to carve out victory against Kevin Kay to put his side 5-2 ahead.
Kennett lost a crucial battle in 4 sets to Ricky Kay,but Coles produced the goods at the end against Shirley to score a 3-0 win and give his side a fine 6-3 win.
Iron Room faced a testing challenge in their next game against Rough Common.
Harris beat John Hammond in 4 sets while Kennett just got the better of Mick Eames in the 5th set.
Inbetween those games Christian Hanys beat David Cue in 4 sets and then came back from the dead to beat Harris in the 5th set.
Kennett made short work of Hammond,while Cue was uunlucky to go down in the 5th set to Cue.
Hanys completed his hat trick with a win over Kennett while Eames took out Harris in 3 sets.
Hammond and Cue fought out a close 5 set game that saw Cue take it in the decider,but his side lost 4-5 overall.
Against Herne Bay D,Iron Room were looking good as they advanced to a 3-1 lead through wins from Tim Lam over Paul Davies and Steve Furber and Kennett over Furber.
Bay responded strongly through Paul Bee,who had beaten Coles in their opening encounter and continued with a straight sets win over Kennett and completed a well deserved treble with a 3-1 win over Lam.
Davies added to Bay’s recovery by beating Coles in 5 sets,but the latter came back in his final game against Furber with a 3-0 win.
Davies sealed a 5-4 victory for his side with a 3-1 win over over Kennett but Iron Room completed their third consecutive win in the doubles,keeping them unbeaten in the doubles league.

Two of the bottom 3 sides in Division 3 both managed to recently score victories in their bid to move away from the relegation area.
Herne Bay H had started with two 3-6 losses faced Blean E and were soon in troubles as Steve Hutton beat Paul Messenger in 5 sets and Dave Goddard beat Linda Sopp.
Roger Townsin stopped the rot by beating Les Taylor in 4 sets and added to his tally by beating Hutton and Goddard in 5 sets,while Messenger beat both Goddard and Taylor in 4 sets to give the Bay a 5-4 win.
The other side that got its first win was Whitsatble Natives B.
Keith Garrad and Gordon Williams both scored maximum secure a 6-3 win over Herne Bay I to lift them above Blean E in the table.
