Ian Cooke failed to register a win for Choughs but Paul Waumsley produced an upset when he beat Harris 3-2 and limit his side to a 4-5 defeat.
The Bay coasted to a 3-1 win in the doubles.

In the 1st division Blue Lawn began their programme with a home match against Herne Bay C.
