While CW9 edged closer to qualification in Group 3 for the Beckett Shield with their 5th consecutive victory attention focused on the key game between CW3 and Magnum Force in this group.

John Metcalfe had to give Robert Nutter a 2 point start but swept aside his challenge for a comfortable 2 set win.
Nutter struggled against Mrs Weaver despite a 1 point advantage and lost in 2 sets.
The crucial game between Metcalfe and Messenger saw the latter ease through in straight sets, having only a one point advantage.

Group 2 sees Jams and CW8 still slugging it out at the top of the group, with just 2 points between them.
Choughs Owls have slowly worked their way up the table after their last two results.
Against Whitstable Pacific,James Moloney had an 8 point start over Peter Godden but the vast experience and guile of Godden proved too much for his young opponent, who lost in 2 sets.
Keith Garrad and Farouk Karim contested a tight game, with both players taking a set each before Karim clinched the decider despite a 5 point handicap.
Karim faced a 9 point deficit against Godden but carved out a 2-0 win but Moloney was unable to use his 12 point advantage over Garrad and lost in straight sets.
The doubles game was a close affair, with both sides taking a set each and in the deciding set it was the Owls who came through and take the match 3-2.
In their next game against CW7,Jake Coombes was in superb form to beat Peter Bartlett in 3 sets off a 3 point deficit and defeated Moloney in two sets off a 13 point deficit.
Dirk Froebrich lost both his games but he and Coombes weathered a 7 point deficit in the doubles to take the game 2-0 and an overall 3-2 win and lifts them into 3rd place while the Owls move into joint 4th place,a point behind CW7.

Group 1 leaders,Bazrack, were surprised in their game against Dizzy Heights B.
Ricky Kay had no problem easing past Joe Asmah in straight sets and overcoming a 12 point deficit.
Barry Shirley gave away 6 points to Andy Coleman and the game went to a deciding set before Coleman emerged winner.
Coleman carried on against Kay in the same manner, taking full advantage of a 10 point lead to win in straight sets.
Shirley gave away 8 points to Asmah and managed to share the first two sets but Asmah made it count in the final set to win 2-1.
Asmah and Coleman had a 9 point start in the doubles and put up a good fight but Kay and Shirley weathered the onslaught to win 2-1 but they lost their unbeaten record while Heights ease their way into 3rd place.
