Continuing the action from the Closed Tournament the Veterans Singles produced no surprises up to the quarter-finals,with all top 8 seeds coming through comfortably.
Top seed,Peter Roberts, overcame a shaky start against Paul Waumsley to go through in 4 sets, while Barry Chapman had a repeat of an earlier clash with Phil Morford, but despite it going to 5 sets,Morford stole it in the end.
Ron Rowley had a repeat of a clash with Mike Howard and repeated his victory in 3 sets, while Ian Mileham endured a tight two opening sets before going through in 4 sets against Mebs Virani.
In the semis Mileham extracted revenge over Rowley in 4 superb sets, while Morford needed 4 competitive sets to see off Roberts, despite a late comback by the latter.
The final saw Morford blunt the attack of Mileham repeatedly,as he reeled off the first set,11-4,then the second set 11-7. Mileham’s attempts to attack were of no avail as Morford romped to a 11-3 win in the third set to grab the title.

Top pairing in the Veterans doubles,Roberts and Rowley, had a trouble free path to the final, losing just one set to the pairing of John Glass and Paul Smallman in the semi-final,while Chapman and Virani proceeded to the final with the loss of a set to Howard and Hearn.
Chapman and Virani edged their way to the first set of the final,12-10,but the holders struck back in the next two sets,11-9,11-7. The number 2 seeds levelled the match with a 11-5 win in the 4th set,but it was the holders who made the better start in the 5th set, eventually running out winners,11-6.

The Mixed Doubles saw top seeds,Tina Stewart and Azim Griffith, bundled out by Dean Harris and Sue Harris in straight sets in the semis while Linda Wickings and Barry Chapman moved easily past Jenny Hogben and Malcolm Skates in 3 sets.
The final saw Chapman and Wickings shrug off the challenge of Harris and Harris to take the title in 3 sets.

No major surprises in the Division 1 competition, with favourite Dennis Cannon making it to the final comfortably.
His opponent, team colleague Mike Chapman, had to weather a 5 set marathon against Mike Lee and 4 sets against Adam Goodall to reach the final.
Cannon just took the first set in the final 13-11,but Chapman replied with a 11-6 win.Despite going on the attack continuously Chapman was unable to penetrate the defences of Cannon and the latter took the next two sets,11-6,11-7, for the title

Top seed in the Division 2 competition,Eric Cawkill, went out to Paul Simmonds in the semis while John Wickings reached the final with a 3 set win over Laurence Newman.
Wickings started brightly in the final, taking the first set,11-5,but Simmonds dug deep to carve out wins in the next 3 sets for the title.

Josh Algar contested the Division 3 final against Jake Coombes and moved to a 3 set win for the title.

Top seeds in the Division 4 titles,Yu Zhu and Thomas Zhu,were knocked out in the semis by Andy Coleman and Ethan Braden and the final saw Coleman move to a comfortable 3 set win over Braden.
